PBSCF receives an Autism Speaks Chapter Grant to help support and expand Big Time GLEE and C.L.I.F.F. social programs!!

It is with great excitement that we are able to announce that the Big Time GLEE and C.L.I.F.F. social programs, co-sponsored by the PBS Community Foundation, the Long Island Advocacy Center and other dedicated individuals working to support social opportunities for the CSS community have been recognized by Autism Speaks. Thanks go to all the dedicated hard work of these folks (you know who you are!) as well as the diverse and talented people that are part of these groups.

This is from the letter sent to us from Autism Speaks:
On behalf of the Autism Speaks board of directors, we are pleased to inform you that your Family Services Chapter Grant proposal, “Big Time Glee & CLIFF Community-Based Social Groups,” has been approved for funding. Your grant award in the amount of $4,936 will commence upon receipt of the signed agreement for a period of one year. This grant is made subject to the provisions specified in the Terms and Conditions of Autism Speaks Family Services Chapter Grants which will be sent to you in January.
It is an honor to include your organization as a recipient in our Autism Speaks Family Services Chapter, Regional and Neighborhood Grants. We truly appreciate your dedication and ability to increase the services available those with an autism spectrum disorder and their families, and we look forward to following your work in the months ahead. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this or any other grant related matter.

We at PBSCF, along with our friends at LIAC and beyond, will be updating you on how we plan to expand/improve these social initiatives. We would love to hear from everyone in the CSS community with your ideas, energy and enthusiasm. Also, feel free to contact us with any new and exciting social ideas you may have!

Send us your ideas: SocialEvents@pbscommunityfoundation.org

Thank you.
Sincerely,
John Innis
